I Hear Each Tear Fall On Her Face


My Mom doesn't know I'm watching her
but I'm watching her just the same.
And I hear each tear fall on her face
at the very mention of my name.
She says it sounds like music to her ears
and can be heard over a crowd.
Oh, I hear each tear fall on her face
when my name is said aloud.
I watch her stumble through each day
as she wishes the day would end.
And I hear each tear fall on her face
as she talks of me to her friends.
But there are few who truly understand.
Oh this I've heard her proclaim.
And I hear each tear fall on her face.
Will my Mom ever be the same?
I know that her smile lights up a sky.
But I don't see that smile today.
Oh, but I hear each tear fall on her face.
Her blue skies have turned to gray.
Oh I send to her my warmest hug
with the rays of the morning sun.
Then, I won't hear a tear fall on her face.
For I shall erase them one by one.
Yes, my Mom doesn't know I'm watching her.
But I'm watching her just the same.
And if I hear a tear fall on her face
I'll just softly whisper her name!

I Will Wait
I can't believe that you're really gone now
Seems like it's all just a dream
How could it be that the world would go on
When something has died within me
Leaves will turn, my heart will burn
With colors of you
Snow will fall, but I'll recall your warmth
Summer wind, breathing in your memory
I'll miss you...
But there will be a time
When I'll see your face
And I'll hear your voice
And there we will laugh again
And there will come a day
When I'll hold you close

With My Deepest Sympathy  / Donna Corey's Mom

To the family and friends of Christopher,

I did not have the honor of knowing Christopher but have come to learn of his life through his loving aunt Sherry. She had come across one of the memorial sites for my son Corey and his wife Michelle and kindly left a message in their guest book. My son Corey (20) and Michelle (22) were married on 5/18/2003 and killed in a horrific auto accident less than 3 months later, on 8/17/2003 in an unposted, deteriorated construction zone in AZ where Corey was stationed with the Air Force.

There is no greater loss than the loss of a child. We carry the pain of losing them for the rest of our lives. There is no understanding the why's, why such young and beautfiul people with their whole lives ahead of them are taken so soon. Why them and not us? We would give our own lives if only our children could have lived theirs.

In the 43 months since losing my son and daughter in-law, I have learned that it helps so much to be able to talk with other parents who truly know my pain and loss. If you should ever want to talk with someone who knows what you are going through, please feel free to email me at any time. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers always.

Some days the road once traveled is a saddened trail,
Some days it's roses and it feels so good just to be alive.

Some days we feel like no one is out there who cares,
And you are the only one left to pick up the broken pieces
life has left you to deal with.

Love can be such a wondrous thing and it can also
hurt like a thorn; pricking every feeling and emotion
left inside you.

Sometimes love just stinks and other times
it makes one feel warm and tingly inside.

When the love is gone...
The hurt begins for one or both...
Someone always gets hurt in the end.

Two hearts now broken apart.

Love can be grand...

If Roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in Christopher's arms
and tell him they're from me.

Tell him that we love and miss him,
and when he turns to smile,
place a kiss upon his cheek
and hold him for awhile.

Remembering him is easy,
I do it every day,
but there's an ache within my heart
that will never go away.

For I am spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year
I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here
I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring
For it is beyond description
To hear the angels sing

I know how much you miss me
I see the pain inside your heart
But I am not so far away
We really aren't apart
So be happy for me dear ones

The Dash  / Aunt Sherry
Christopher... this was read today at the "Service for Remembrance". If only all of us would live by this, life might be a little easier for all....

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end

He noted that first came her date of her birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not how much we own;
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard.
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what’s true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy is being read
With your life’s actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?
