It's hard to say goodbye....  / Aunt Sherry   Read >>
It's hard to say goodbye....  / Aunt Sherry
Through the mist of heartfelt sorrow
One can catch a glimpse of hopeful promise
That tomorrow the pain will be a little less.

And though a void will remain,
We must learn to fill it with joyful memories
Of the one who has blessed our lives for so many years
But whose time to leave this world has come.

To those of us left behind, it seems their time was much too short.
And we feel robbed and angry, and maybe even a little guilty
That we never did enough for them while they were here.

But in their heart, they knew we loved them;
And we will always carry a part of them with us,
For they are a part of who we are.

In Memory of You

I find an old photograph
and see your smile.
As I feel your presence anew,
I am filled with warmth
and my heart remembers love.

I read an old card
sent many years ago
during a time of turmoil and confusion.
The soothing words written then
still caress my spirit
and bring me peace.

I remember who you used to be
the laughter we shared
and wonder what you have become.
Where are you now,
Where did you go,
When the body is left behind
and the spirit is released to fly?

Perhaps you are the morning bird
singing joyfully at sunrise,
or the butterfly that dances
so carelessly on the breeze
or the rainbow of colors
that brightens a stormy sky
or the fingers of afternoon mist
delicately reaching over the mountains
or the final few rays of the setting sun
lighting up the skies
edging the clouds with a magical glow.

I miss your being
but I feel your presence,
In whatever form you choose to take,
however you now choose to be.

Your spirit has become for me
a guardian angel on high
guiding, advising, and watching over me.

I remember you.
You are with me
and I am not afraid.

I'm going home  / Aunt Sherry
I’m on that pathway to Heaven...
The gates are opening wide,
I’m going to be forever by his side.
I heard him calling my name,
he said "my child, you'll be riding on
that heavenly train".
You’re coming home where you’ll no longer
feel any pain...
The angels are gathering near...
their sweet beautiful voices I can hear.
Please don’t grieve for me when I go...
for you and I both know this has to be so.
God lent me to you for awhile...
to fill you hearts with love...
But now I’m going to his heavenly home above.
Please remember all the good times
that we've had, try not to be feel lonely and sad.
For we will be together again...
and once again, we will laugh and play.
We will run through fields of flowers
chasing butterflies....
And lie on our backs watching birds fly
high up in the sky.
We will sing songs of joy with angels all around,
oh cant you hear the beautiful sounds?
I’m tired now, my body is weak...
just hold my hand as I drift off to sleep.
Love me forever as I will you...
and remember....just like yours...
my love is forever true.
I’m going home.

Forever In Our Heart

When you speak of Chris, speak not with tears
for thoughts of him should not be sad.
Let memories of the times you shared give you comfort
for his life was richer because of you.

And though now he has had to part,
though to part he did not choose;
he'll be with you along life's path,
Forever In Your Heart. Close
Do not stand at my grave and weep  / Aunt Sherry   Read >>
Do not stand at my grave and weep  / Aunt Sherry

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
( David Romano )

When tomorrow starts without me
and I'm not here to see...
If the sun should rise and find your
eyes filled with tears for me,

I wish so much you wouldn't cry
the way you did today...
While thinking of the many things
we didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,
as much as I love you...
And each time you think of me,
I know you'll miss me, too.

But when tomorrow starts without me,
please try to understand...
That Jesus came and called my name
and took me by the hand,

And said my place was ready
in heaven far above...
And that I'd have to leave behind
all those I dearly love.

So when tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we're far apart...
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here in your heart. Close
Don't Grieve For Me  / Aunt Sherry   Read >>
Don't Grieve For Me  / Aunt Sherry
Don't grieve for me,
for now I'm free
I'm following the path
God laid for me.
I took His hand when
I heard His call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
to laugh, to love, to work or pray.
Tasks left undone
must stay that way,
I found that peace at
the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
Perhaps my time has
seemed all too brief,
Don't lenghten it now
with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts,
and share with me
God wanted me now,
He set me Free. Close
The Broken Chain  / Aunt Carol   Read >>
The Broken Chain  / Aunt Carol
We knew little that morning, that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,
for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family's chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
but as God call us one by one, the chain will link again.

Friends / Aunt Carol
Friends are the roses in life's bouquet
Filling our hearts with joy each day.
And when trials and troubles come our way,
They bring us comfort as we pray,
Friends are the daffodils, bright-yellow tones;
They leave happy thoughts when we are alone.
They bring us laughter and cheer us on,
Changing our sadness into a happy song.
Friends are the lilacs, fragrant and sweet -
A gift from God to make life complete.
He knew we'd need someone by our side
To share his love, as in him we abide,
Roses and lilacs and daffodilas -
They help to weather life's troubles and ills,
A friend can laugh or can cry with you...
Thank God for a friend that's kind and true.

Message of love  / Aunt Carol
In the journey of life. God has a plan for you.
In the challenges of life, God has a hope for you.
In all of life, God holds a love for you.

Blessings are a favor that come from God above to touch our lives with gladness and fill our hearts with love.
For I received his blessing and his loving kindness too.

A prayer for you  / Aunt Carol
I said a prayer for you today and I know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart, although he spoke no word.
I didn't ask for wealth or fame..  I knew you wouldn't mind.
I asked him to send treaures of a far more lasting kind.
I asked that he'd be near you in all things great and small.
but it was for his loving care I oprayed for most of all.

The day God took you  / Aunt Sherry
On the day God took you
I thought that I would die
I wondered where the time went?
I asked alot of whys??
With people all around me
I felt alone inside
From all their words of comfort,
I couldn't seem to hide,
I thought I might be dreaming
That I'd wake and find you here,
I thought "This can't be happening."
As I wiped another tear.
On the day that you were laid to rest
My heart broke yet again,
I wondered if the pain would end,
But mostly, I wondered when??
It's hard to be without you,
At times the days seem long,
Sometimes I just sit crying,
When there's really nothing wrong.
I wish we'd had more time,
Before your life was done.
I hope you're resting peacefully.

To Those I Love  / Carol Crites (Great Aunt )

When I am gone, just release me, let me go - so I can move into my afterglow - You mustn't tie me down with your tears.  I have gave you my love, you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness.  I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I traveled alone.
So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted with trust.  It's only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart.  And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and a
"Welcome Home".

Love, Aunt Carol
